James Hughes

In his career, James has directed hundreds of actors, and his short films have screened at 200 film festivals — his first three films were all BAFTA qualifying short films.

James has just released two new short films. The first of these, The Sands of Time, features an ensemble cast, and has won four Best Director Awards at its first six film festivals.

The second, When the Rain Sets In, won a pitching contest on stage at BAFTA, and is edited by the Oscar Nominated Editor of Best Picture Winner Green Book. It has just been released onto the festival circuit.

He has also been selected by BAFTA to be part of their BAFTA Crew programme for this year.

James is also a Producer at Sunset Aperture, the production company that has made Sonar. As such he is now overseeing the film’s post-production in five international cities.
