Jan Vaceanu-Staicov

CINEMATOGRAPHER

Jan Vaceanu-Staicov is a Cinematographer based in London.

After graduating from the University of Westminster, Jan started shooting, and building a portfolio by working in various roles in the Camera and Lighting departments. In Addition to this, Jan studied under Cinematographers: Vilmos Zsigmond ASC and Yuri Neyman ASC, at the Global Cinematography Institute in Los Angeles.

He spent three months in the Amazon Rainforest shooting a natural history show for Channel 4. This led to working on a number of short films and commercials. Jan also lensed the documentary feature, Le Jardin D’Ewald, shot in Senegal, and the horror feature Bacchanalia.

Jan worked alongside our other Cinematographer, on the Sonar shoot, to form an aesthetic partnership at both of our ambitious locations. This included operating his own Black Magic Ursa Mini Pro 4.6K which was used throughout our production.
